Capturing my Own Family’s memories

Putting my money where my mouth is… because these memories are important.

These days I am more averse to sharing images of my children online. I’ve never been one to overthink things but in my opinion, sharing standards have shifted in the past few years. No longer is it acceptable to put someone’s image online without considering their potential objections, which goes for my children too.

So now that they are at an age where 1) They are more recognisable and 2) they can decide for themselves and understand a little more what it means to put images online I always ask their permission first.

There are so many moments and memories that will never be shared- they are special to us, they are everyday laughs and giggles and they do not need strangers’ eyes on them, so one rule that I do tend to stick to is sharing only my big camera images of them, not my phone snaps.

And finally, the next stage of it is their future objections- if any do arise then their images will be taken down. Key words- Their images.
