Frame by Frame: Making Sure Mum is Included in Family Photos | Family Photographer Devon & Cornwall

As mothers, we all know that feeling of flipping through our family photo albums and realizing that we're missing from most of the pictures. It's like we're ghosts in our own family's history. One minute we're behind the camera, snapping away, and the next we're invisible!

This exact scenario happened to my last weekend- at my daughter’s 7th birthday party I was so busy taking photos (I mean, I have the camera after all…), when looking back I am not in a single photo! Rose will look back at her birthday party and it is as if I wasn’t even there- it makes me so sad.

But why is it that we're always the ones behind the camera? Is it because we're the ones responsible for capturing memories? Or is it because we're just too busy trying to make sure everyone else is in the frame?

Either way, it's time for us mums to step out from behind the camera and into the spotlight. It's time for us to be present in our own family's history.

And what better way to do that than by booking a family photography shoot?

Think about it. A professional photographer will take care of capturing the memories while we can just sit back, relax, and enjoy the moment. Plus, we'll finally have some pictures of ourselves where we're not just a blur in the background or a hand holding a camera.

So, let's make it a priority to book a family photography shoot. And while we're at it, let's make sure that we're all present in the pictures, not just ghosts in our own family's history.

We all know that being a mother is a full time job, but let's make sure that our hard work and dedication is captured and remembered forever. So, go ahead and book that family photography shoot, and let's make sure that we're not just ghosts in our own family photo albums.
