Travelling for Shoots, where am I and when

I recently moved to South Devon, not far from Totnes and Exeter. This move was a bit of an impulsive one, like many of the post-covid relocations that people have jumped on.

Slapton Sands

This part of the country (South Hams) is so beautifully romantic and effortlessly picturesque.

The huge upside to this move is the quality of our lifestyles- more outdoor fun, beach adjacent, Dartmoor hiking, surfing, kyaking, etc… and in terms of shoot locations, I am totally spoiled! Cliffs, beaches, Dartmoor, woodlands, fields, the list goes on.

The downside is that I’m a little more secluded than I used to be- now don’t get me wrong, people used to travel from shoots with me when I was based in the Cotswolds, now though it is becoming more of an experience- many of my clients are opting to book a Devon weekend minibreak and arrange a shoot for whilst they are down here (I’m planning on writing a blog naming a few incredible, recommended airbnb’s for this).

Devon woodlands make a beautiful, fairytale backdrop.

For those who live further afield I thought I’d mention a few places that I’m traveling to throughout this year…

(Remember that I also offer mentoring and photography training so these dates can be used for Shoot-Along sessions as well.)

Cotswolds:- 19-22nd May, 16th-19th June

Manchester:- 23-25th Sep

Folkestone:- 25th-28th July

Scotland- October (dates TBC)
