Motherhood has always been a complex territory, filled with contradictions. It has been both revered and dismissed, celebrated and marginalized. However, amidst this dichotomy, the photographer's lens emerges as a powerful ally—a tool that can reclaim the narratives surrounding motherhood and give them the recognition they deserve.

The location for this shoot was Windout Farm’s old piggery which has been lovingly (and tastefully) restored. The sunlight was INSANELY bright, which posed some challenges for photography and annoyed me no end after weeks over atmospheric fog and rain, but I was excited to see what I could capture in this beautiful setting.

There's something special about the vintage aesthetic. Maybe it's the nostalgia that comes with it, or perhaps it's the soft, dreamy hues that seem to transport us to another time. Whatever the reason, the retro look has made a comeback, and as a photographer, I couldn't be happier.
